1. How do I log in?   Log in using your Colorado.edu email address and identikey password.
  2. What is the file size maximum?   All files must be less than 50 MB.
  3. What is the page limit for submission?   Documents should be in Arial 11 pt type with at least 0.5" margins and be no longer than 3 pages in length, including charts/figures.  You may add up to 2 additional pages for literature citations at the end of the Research Plan, for an absolute total of five pages.   Additional Information:   See Application Details regarding page requirements.    https://seedgrant-staging.colorado.edu/content/innovative-seed-grant-program-application
  4. Can a similar 11-point font be used, since Arial is a commerical font and is not readily available in some word processing or typesetting platforms (for example, LaTeX)?  Yes
  5. When is the proposal due date?   Grant Submission Deadline: 5:00 p.m, February 23, 2015.
  6. What is the seed grant policy regarding external collaborators (i.e. from outside the CU system). Can their name be included in the grant as a collaborator?        Can they be included in the budget in any form?   Each submission should have only one responsible PI.  You may list collaborators if you feel they strengthen the submission, but collaborators should not be listed in the budget.  Collaboration is expected but no Co-PIs are allowed.  The program is a seed program to invest in the future of research at CU-Boulder.
  7. Is it possible for the Seed Grant Program to fund graduate student field research?  Yes
  8. Can the budget include salary, if yes, for graduate students or also a small fraction of the Pi's/ Co-Pis salary?  Graduate student salaries can be included as well as postdoc student salaries but the inclusion of PI/Co-PI and collaborators salaries is discouraged. Proposals that do include a significant amount of faculty and co-PI salary support are rarely successful.
  9. Can equipment, materials or computer support be included in the budget?  Yes
